Position Purpose

A Junior Finance & Accounting professional plays a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of a company. They assist in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a solid understanding of financial principles. Working within the finance team, the Junior Finance & Accounting professional will be responsible for key areas such as bookkeeping, financial reporting, accounts reconciliation, and assisting with budgeting

Roles & Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Financial Records – Maintain accurate financial records, process invoices, and reconcile accounts.

Accounts Payable & Receivable – Assist in processing payments, issuing invoices, and following up on outstanding balances.

Financial Reporting – Prepare basic financial reports, summaries,

Expense Management – Review and verify expense claims and ensure compliance with company policies.

Compliance & Documentation – Ensure all financial transactions comply with regulations and company guidelines.

Bank Reconciliation – Assist in reconciling bank statements and resolving discrepancies.

Payroll Assistance – Support payroll processing by compiling necessary data.

Audit & Tax Support – Help gather documents for audits and assist in tax filing preparations.

General Administrative Support – Provide support to the finance team with data entry, document filing, and ad-hoc tasks.

Technical Skills & Personal Attributes

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills – Ability to analyse data and identify financial trends or issues.

Strong Organisational Skills – Able to manage multiple tasks, prioritise work, and meet deadlines.

High Attention to Detail – Ensures accuracy in financial reports and records.
